Alors que&nbsp;<strong>567 millions de personnes<\/strong>&nbsp;en Afrique subsaharienne n\u2019ont toujours pas acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, le continent dispose d\u2019un potentiel exceptionnel en \u00e9nergies renouvelables pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ses besoins tout en \u00e9vitant les d\u00e9pendances aux combustibles fossiles. Cet article analyse les strat\u00e9gies et les d\u00e9fis de cette transition, entre ambitions politiques, innovations technologiques et coop\u00e9ration internationale.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Energie-en-Afrique-Partenariat-strategique-entre-le-Nigeria-et-lInde-pour-accelerer-la-transition-vers-les-energies-renouvelab.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2860\" srcset=\"https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Energie-en-Afrique-Partenariat-strategique-entre-le-Nigeria-et-lInde-pour-accelerer-la-transition-vers-les-energies-renouvelab.jpg 800w, https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Energie-en-Afrique-Partenariat-strategique-entre-le-Nigeria-et-lInde-pour-accelerer-la-transition-vers-les-energies-renouvelab-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Energie-en-Afrique-Partenariat-strategique-entre-le-Nigeria-et-lInde-pour-accelerer-la-transition-vers-les-energies-renouvelab-768x480.jpg 768w, https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Energie-en-Afrique-Partenariat-strategique-entre-le-Nigeria-et-lInde-pour-accelerer-la-transition-vers-les-energies-renouvelab-585x366.jpg 585w, https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Energie-en-Afrique-Partenariat-strategique-entre-le-Nigeria-et-lInde-pour-accelerer-la-transition-vers-les-energies-renouvelab-600x375.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure><p><strong>Potentiel \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique : Un gisement renouvelable sous-exploit\u00e9<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p><p>L\u2019Afrique poss\u00e8de des ressources renouvelables colossales :<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>\u00c9nergie solaire<\/strong>\u00a0: Un ensoleillement annuel moyen de 2 000 kWh\/m\u00b2, id\u00e9al pour le d\u00e9ploiement de centrales photovolta\u00efques.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>\u00c9nergie \u00e9olienne<\/strong>\u00a0: Un potentiel de 59 GW, notamment en Afrique du Sud, au Maroc et en \u00c9gypte.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Hydro\u00e9lectricit\u00e9<\/strong>\u00a0: Le Congo pourrait \u00e0 lui seul fournir\u00a0<strong>40 GW<\/strong>\u00a0via le projet\u00a0<em>Grand Inga<\/em>.<\/li><\/ul><p>Selon l\u2019IRENA, le potentiel total des \u00e9nergies renouvelables en Afrique atteint&nbsp;<strong>2,4 millions de TWh\/an<\/strong>, soit 50 fois la demande mondiale pr\u00e9vue en 2050<a href=\"https:\/\/blog-isige.minesparis.psl.eu\/2023\/11\/08\/energie-afrique\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">4<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irena.org\/-\/media\/Files\/IRENA\/Agency\/Publication\/2021\/March\/Renewable_Energy_Transition_Africa_2021_FR.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">9<\/a>.&nbsp;Pourtant, moins de 10 % de ce potentiel est exploit\u00e9, en raison de barri\u00e8res financi\u00e8res, institutionnelles et infrastructurelles.<\/p><p><strong>Strat\u00e9gies cl\u00e9s : R\u00e9seaux int\u00e9gr\u00e9s et hydrog\u00e8ne vert<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p><p>Le&nbsp;<strong>Programme de transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique africaine<\/strong>&nbsp;(AFREC) identifie sept axes prioritaires<a href=\"https:\/\/au-afrec.org\/fr\/programme-de-transition-energetique-africaine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1<\/a>&nbsp;:<\/p><ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>D\u00e9veloppement d\u2019un r\u00e9seau \u00e9lectrique continental<\/strong>\u00a0: R\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts de production et am\u00e9liorer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique via des interconnexions r\u00e9gionales.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>D\u00e9carbonation acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9e<\/strong>\u00a0: Abandon progressif du charbon et du p\u00e9trole, priorit\u00e9 aux \u00e9nergies renouvelables.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Hydrog\u00e8ne vert<\/strong>\u00a0: Positionner l\u2019Afrique comme exportateur mondial gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son potentiel solaire et \u00e9olien<a href=\"https:\/\/www.irena.org\/-\/media\/Files\/IRENA\/Agency\/Publication\/2021\/March\/Renewable_Energy_Transition_Africa_2021_FR.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">9<\/a>.<\/li><\/ol><p>La&nbsp;<strong>D\u00e9claration de Nairobi<\/strong>&nbsp;(2023) fixe un objectif ambitieux : multiplier par six la capacit\u00e9 renouvelable install\u00e9e, passant de 51 GW \u00e0&nbsp;<strong>300 GW d\u2019ici 2030<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blog-isige.minesparis.psl.eu\/2023\/11\/08\/energie-afrique\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">4<\/a>.<\/p><p><strong>Financement et coop\u00e9ration : R\u00f4le des institutions internationales<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p><p>Le financement reste un d\u00e9fi majeur. Des m\u00e9canismes innovants \u00e9mergent :<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Fonds pour l\u2019\u00e9nergie durable en Afrique (SEFA)<\/strong>\u00a0: G\u00e9r\u00e9 par la Banque africaine de d\u00e9veloppement, il mobilise des fonds catalytiques pour des projets renouvelables et d\u2019efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique<a href=\"https:\/\/www.afdb.org\/fr\/topics-and-sectors\/initiatives-partnerships\/sustainable-energy-fund-for-africa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Engagements de l\u2019AFD<\/strong>\u00a0: 1 milliard d\u2019euros d\u2019ici 2030 pour l\u2019\u00e9lectrification en Afrique subsaharienne<a href=\"https:\/\/www.afd.fr\/fr\/actualites\/mission-300-afd-electricite-energies-renouvelables-afrique-subsaharienne\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">6<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.afd.fr\/fr\/actualites\/communique-de-presse\/nouveaux-engagements-de-lafd-pour-lacces-lenergie-en-afrique-subsaharienne-et-la-sante-en-afrique-de-lest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">8<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Partenariats public-priv\u00e9<\/strong>\u00a0: Nexans et d\u2019autres acteurs priv\u00e9s investissent dans des projets d\u2019\u00e9lectrification durable<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nexans.com\/fr\/perspective\/lelectrification-durable-levier-essentiel-pour-accelerer-la-transition-energetique-de-lafrique\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">7<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"499\" src=\"https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/transition-energetique-afrique1-1170x570-1-1024x499.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2861\" srcset=\"https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/transition-energetique-afrique1-1170x570-1-1024x499.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/transition-energetique-afrique1-1170x570-1-300x146.jpg 300w, https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/transition-energetique-afrique1-1170x570-1-768x374.jpg 768w, https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/transition-energetique-afrique1-1170x570-1-585x285.jpg 585w, https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/transition-energetique-afrique1-1170x570-1-600x292.jpg 600w, https:\/\/africanova.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/transition-energetique-afrique1-1170x570-1.jpg 1170w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><p><strong>Obstacles persistants : Gouvernance et d\u00e9pendance aux fossiles<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p><p>Malgr\u00e9 les progr\u00e8s, des freins subsistent :<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>D\u00e9pendance aux combustibles fossiles<\/strong>\u00a0: Les gazoducs et centrales \u00e0 gaz restent prioritaires dans certains pays, risquant de cr\u00e9er des \u00ab actifs \u00e9chou\u00e9s \u00bb<a href=\"https:\/\/au-afrec.org\/fr\/programme-de-transition-energetique-africaine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>D\u00e9fis institutionnels<\/strong>\u00a0: Corruption, l\u00e9gislations inadapt\u00e9es et manque de coordination entre \u00c9tats<a href=\"https:\/\/theses.fr\/2022ORLE1037\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">3<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Acc\u00e8s in\u00e9gal<\/strong>\u00a0: Les zones rurales et p\u00e9riurbaines restent largement exclues des r\u00e9seaux \u00e9lectriques<a href=\"https:\/\/www.afdb.org\/fr\/revue-annuelle-sur-lefficacite-du-developpement-raed-edition-2023\/chapitre-1-eclairer-lafrique-et-lalimenter-en-energie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">5<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Perspectives : Vers une Afrique leader de la transition<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p><p>Pour r\u00e9ussir sa transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, l\u2019Afrique doit :<\/p><ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Harmoniser les politiques r\u00e9gionales<\/strong>\u00a0: Aligner les strat\u00e9gies nationales avec l\u2019Agenda 2063 de l\u2019UA et les ODD<a href=\"https:\/\/www.irena.org\/-\/media\/Files\/IRENA\/Agency\/Publication\/2021\/March\/Renewable_Energy_Transition_Africa_2021_FR.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">9<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Investir dans la formation<\/strong>\u00a0: D\u00e9velopper des comp\u00e9tences locales en ing\u00e9nierie et gestion de projets renouvelables.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Optimiser les mod\u00e8les \u00e9conomiques<\/strong>\u00a0: Favoriser les mini-r\u00e9seaux et solutions hors r\u00e9seau pour les zones isol\u00e9es<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nexans.com\/fr\/perspective\/lelectrification-durable-levier-essentiel-pour-accelerer-la-transition-energetique-de-lafrique\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">7<\/a>.<\/li><\/ol><p>En conclusion, la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique en Afrique est \u00e0 la fois une n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 et une opportunit\u00e9 historique.
